Guendouzi was handed a four-match suspension from UEFA club competitions and fined €50,000 after his conduct towards the home supporters and opposition players was cited as a catalyst for the mass brawl that broke out after the final whistle.
However, two of the four matches are suspended for a one-year probationary period. As a result, the France midfielder will miss Fenerbahce’s first two Champions League fixtures against Roma and Aston Villa.
Greenwood was also punished for his involvement in the post-match fracas. The England forward received a one-match suspension and was fined €30,000.
Fenerbahce were also hit with multiple fines over the incidents. The Turkish club was fined €30,000 for the lighting and throwing of fireworks, €15,000 for crowd disturbances and another €50,000 for violations of UEFA’s general and fundamental rules of conduct.
